Morning News Show Recap - 9/4/12

Here is the song from today's show:

Essential Oils - Peppermint

Peppermint Oil has many different uses and is one of the first oils you should try. It contains monoterpenes which help reprogram cellular memory. Its electromagnetic frequency is 78 MHz.

Before using, make sure you add to a carrier oil - do not put straight (neat) on the skin.

Most people use Peppermint Oil for digestion issues. Even smelling it can help with nausea, morning sickness, or  even motion sickness. It can also be used as an insect repellant and a facial steam to clear pores.

For any digestion issue - inhale or massage on the stomach

For headache - massage into temples or back of the neck

For sinus, cold, or flu - inhale from a hot pot of water

For Shingles - add a few drops to body lotion

For mouthwash - add a few drops to water

For toothache - apply to area with a cotton swab

Warning: Do not inhale for more than a couple of days. Overuse of Peppermint Oil can irritate your sinuses and lungs.

Healing Truths to Consider - Part 5

The following is from a great book called Your Mind Can Heal You by Frederick Bailes. It was first published in 1941. These are definitely truths on which to meditate and fully understand.

Chapter 5
(The seven "R's")

Relaxation
We relax physically as an aid to relax mentally. We relax mentally by clearing the mind as far as possible of discordant thoughts and by reminding ourself that we live in a universe that wishes us well.

Recognition
We recognize Infinite Mind, with all Wisdom to know and all Power to do, which receives our thought and sets to work to carry it into form.

Relationship
We and the person for whom we are giving the treatment - if it is for someone else - are one with the Infinite Mind; therefore, illness is a distorted thought-form.

Reasoning
If doubts come, we reason them away.

Realization
We know this is the truth about the person - oneself or another.

Release
We release this truth to Infinite Mind, the only Agency in the universe that can bring it into form.

Rejoicing
We rejoice because we believe that what we have spoken is now being carried out.

Morning News Show Recap - 9/2/12

Here is the video that I found on YouTube that reminded me of my grandmother so much. She played piano alot like this lady. This is where I found the song for the end of the show.

Today would have been my Grandmother's 95th Birthday, so I am dedicating today's show to her. She was the most amazing lady. We all miss her very much.

Alabama VS Auburn - Explained in Our Chakras

SEC College Football is here, and for me, that means Bama and Auburn! (Yes, I cheer for both teams until the big day - the Iron Bowl - when they play each other.)

This year, the Iron Bowl will take place November 24, 2012 in Tuscaloosa, AL. On that day, my allegiance will be with the current National Champions, The University of Alabama. Roll Tide!

I do, however, have a genuine affection for Auburn, and so I wish both teams the best. If you are also a  fan, you know that so much about college football is rooted in pure emotion. That is why the teams' colors can carry so much meaning.

If we look at each team's colors and correspond them to the Chakra system - we find some interesting correlations with fan psychology.

Let's start with the Root Chakra. It's color is red.  (Crimson for you Bama fans!)

The Root Chakra governs our vigor, heredity, survival, security, passion, money, job, and home. This chakra aids us in our everyday survival. (Multidimensions.com) People who have healthy Root chakras really do believe in abundance - yes, they believe another championship is on it's way! There is also a deep connection to home with this chakra (Sweet Home Alabama).

The Sacral Chakra's corresponding color is orange.

This particular chakra is in charge of a person’s sexual organs, lower portion of the spine, large intestines and the bladder. It also affects how your emotions are working, how well you can use your brain for things like making decision, your skills, how well you control yourself, whether or not you get addicted to something, as well as your ability to handle sexual relationships and how creative you may be. (Howtoopenchakras.com)

A big part of the Sacral Chakra deals with personal responsibility and pride. The Auburn Creed is practically a Sacral Chakra mantra. (I happen to believe its words are something we all can live by.) Include the blue chakra (The Throat Chakra) and you've got a very vocal and practical fan base: (War Damn Eagle).
