GMO OMG - Inspiration to Keep Fighting

I read today that Monsanto hires out Blackwater. I'm not kidding. The company that is basically in charge of our food system and our government (through evil tactics) works with the biggest private war contractor in world history. Maybe they've become bored with suing farmers and now want to capability to drone bomb them as well. They could certainly get away with it - they own most of our politicians and government agencies - so who would come after them if they did?

Yeehaw.

I know I sound jaded. I am a little. I've been trying to tell people about the dangers of GMOs and this evil corporation for years - since I saw Food Inc. for the first time. And that was almost 5 YEARS ago. I've watched all of those documentaries that shine a light on what is happening with the food system (The World According to Monsanto, Forks over Knives, Fat, Sick, And Nearly Dead, Genetic Roulette, and so many more) - and they all come to the same conclusion - MONSANTO is killing us and everything in nature.

And yet, Goliath remains.

Well, there's a new David in our camp now. And maybe, just maybe this one will be our tipping point to real change.

GMO OMG is the latest documentary that explores food, where it comes from, what's in it, how it's hurting us, and what people are doing about it.
(Same concept - but not the same-old-same-old.)

Here's a trailer for the documentary:

I saw this movie tonight at the Nashville Film Festival. It happened by chance that I was given tickets by a local company that does bar trivia because they saw a video I had made on youtube. Truthfully, I was expecting to just hear the same facts again but what I got was a renewed sense of why I'm fighting this fight in the first place: to heal myself, my fellow man, and this planet that God created for us.

The sincerity of the director, Jeremy Seifert, really comes through, as does his journey to discover what are the right choices for his family. His kids are highlighted throughout the documentary - something I might have cringed at if they weren't so stinkin' adorable. (And that's coming from someone who doesn't have kids and who avoids them in general.) But these kids make parts of the documentary very touching, and in the end, I consider them to be a big part of why I liked this film.

Yes, the facts are there. Yes, the same arguments are there. And yes, I still felt as if I learned something new - that I won't give up - even when it seems that Goliath keeps getting bigger and the individual rights of the consumer are getting smaller.  And I have this documentary to thank for that.

Do yourself (and mother nature, and all the plants, and the bees, and the animals, and the soil, and the seeds, and the water, and the air) a favor and go see this one!

And if you are inspired to do something about this, then consider joining the March Against Monsanto - this May 25th, 2013. The march will happen worldwide! It's time. Wherever you are, join with me and help me keep up the good fight.

Thanks!

The Best Letter to Monsanto Ever!

To the Board:

Regarding your horrifically ridiculous fear-based "Monsanto Protection Act" your introduction of human genomes in the food chain, your reckless disregard of Truth, Consequence, and Scientific evidence, your continued insistence on an unsustainable profit-at-any-cost-driven reckless poisoning of the Planet:

You won't win,you will pay for all you've done, you will be held accountable, in this life or the next. We are awake and we are angry. Your days of honoring yourselves has come to an end. Renounce, rescind, and learn respect.

To the human being whose job it is to read and answer these emails, consider this one fact:
Monsanto serves ORGANIC foods in its cafeterias. Please consider gainful employment elsewhere.

All is One, you big dummies.

You got my address and GPS co-ordinates. Send a drone. See you in hell.
The Fight continues.
I am aware of your powers and I am NOT afraid.

The Monsanto Meditation

When Jesus said to love your enemies he did not mean to lie down and let them use evil against you or the world. He meant that LOVE is a weapon against your enemies. Actually, it is so powerful, that it destroys all tyranny and oppression - instantly.

This is why I decided to make a guided meditation video using the power of love against one of our greatest enemies, Monsanto.

This meditation video is designed to show you how to use thoughts of love to heal the world.
I hope you enjoy it.
I hope that it empowers you to practice love in your everyday life.

I hope it heals us all.

Thank you.

Love,
Danan

A Letter to Monsanto Employees

There's a lot of bad stuff being said about Monsanto these days. You've probably heard those kinds of things quite a bit since so much of this evidence is available on the Internet. Despite a total media blackout of what Monsanto has been up to, it’s pretty obvious that the company is evil.  But just because you work for Monsanto doesn't mean that you are evil too.

I’ve been thinking about what I would do if I worked for a company like Monsanto. First, I would be thankful for a good job so that I could take care of myself and my family. And I would be torn if I thought that corporation was hurting people. Could I separate my individual job from the harm that the corporation was causing? I don’t know. Maybe. I would definitely believe that my first responsibility was to take care of my family no matter what.

I’m not writing this to tell people they should quit their jobs out of the blue, unless they could find another (better) job first. It’s not my place to tell people what to do with their lives anyway. I am hoping, however, that you do find a better job for yourself, your family, and the entire world. Somehow. Someday.

My name is Danan Whiddon. I'm a real person and I believe that you are worthy of love and respect. I believe that your life means even more than the immense power wielded by this one corporation. And I believe that what you do in the next few years could save the world.

Please consider giving your energy and your time to something - anything - that serves you, your family, your fellow man, and your planet – when you are able.

Corporations don’t care about people, animals, or our Earth.
They don’t care about me – and they certainly don’t care about you.
Corporations aren't people because they don't have souls.

You have a soul.

Love,
Danan
